The road to weight loss

I know it does not look like much but I lost 1.8 pounds during the week of Thanksgiving!! I am taking that as a great achievement. With all the wonderful food around 24/7 I was relieved that I had lost weight!!
The week went by kind of slow, and it was really a struggle each day to remember to stay on track and to constantly remind myself of the body I want. This is much more than just a life style change for me, this is a soon to be confidence boost, a love myself learning adventure, this is my life!
The Goal Weight in the picture is not what im hoping to weight its what my 5% goal is, and Im hoping to achieve this goal before the end of the year. It seems like a fairly realistic goal seeing how i have more than 30 days to lose 8.2 lbs.
I will continue each week to update you all on my weight loss success!!

Christmas Festivities

Everybody knows that the day after Thanksgiving is the day that you officially decorate for Christmas. Unfortunately for my family we were so full and lazy the day after Thanksgiving that we didn't get to decorating until the following day. My mother really has a nack for decorating. She has really nice Christmas decorations and quite frankly its one of my favorite times of the year.

I know the pictures are a little close but these are before and after pictures of the most decorated room in the house. This room is the first room you see when you walk in the house. It really just brightens your mood when you see how warm and cozy it is. I could sit here all day reading a book and drinking chia tea.

Thanksgiving Beauties

I have so many things to be thankful for, my family, my job, school, just to name a few. My Thanksgiving was not at all how I expected to be, but it turned out just as wonderful as normal because I was around the people I love. Normally we travel for the holidays but due to lack of funds we decided to stay home. My mom and I finally mastered making homemade pies. (we had recently tried to make apple and burnt the pie both times.) My mom literally knocked this Thanksgiving out of the park. She is one hell of a cook and I was stuffed to the max. We were really blessed to have everyone that could make it be there and I had a really wonderful time.
These lovelies are my little brother Ethan, and my nephew and niece, Rheanna and Lincoln. Rheanna just recently started walking and talking and she is just darling. Her favorite word at the moment is "bite" and you cant help but share with her.
I truly don't deserve the amazing family I have.

The day to begin the rest of my life

Today is that day!! My mother and I are headed into to weight watchers tonight to sign up and completely try and change our lives. My weight has been an every growing problem, and those of you who know what I'm talking about, it completely traps you and keeps you from doing things you've wanted to do, because of my weight I have simply not done things out of fear and embarrassment. Today, though, is the day that i kiss that fear and embarrassment goodbye and start the journey to my new life. I am planning on keeping you guys updated each week, let you know what I'm weighing in at, and how I'm progressing through the time I'm with weight watchers. I have failed so many times when it comes to trying to lose weight, that losing weight simply sounds impossible at times, but a very wonderful friend reminded me that the day I quit trying is the day I truly fail. WISH ME LUCK :)

Cold Weather and Football

For those of you that don't know me I have a wide range of family, most of which live in Las Vegas besides some of my immediate family. My dad, step mom, and two younger brothers live in Vegas and to say that my little brother is a phenomenal football player is really being to humble. My younger sister and I drove down last year to watch him play and we were blown away at how good he was (I even caught my sister cheering him on and screaming at the top of her lungs for him to score). I really love how into she gets. Hes a pretty big boy ranging from 6 ft and weighing about 240 I believe. Anyways this Saturday his team made it to the State Championship and boy i could not have been more excited. My sister and I were suppose to drive down and watch but i had completely forgot that i was scheduled to work, so instead of driving down we were forced to cheer from home. They ended up losing but my brother did score the only touch down for his team :)

Prior to his Champion ship football game my dad had called me to ask if i would like to come and watch Matthew's team try and win this huge game. So of course i jumped at the opportunity, until i got a real life check and wasn't able to, but besides the point I had made comment as to how the weather was there. My dad preceded to tell me how "cold" it was. He said it was 50 degree's and at Matt's game the nearly froze to death. So being the smart alec that I am I decided to shop him what i woke up to that morning.... I don't think he will be complaining about the cold weather anytime soon. :)

Jaxon's Birthday Party

Jaxon Reed Fort was born on November 4, 2011 and for his first birthday the poor little guy had to spend it in the hospital. He got an infection in his face and was forced to stay in the hospital for almost an entire week, until the infection and almost completely healed. Needless to say it was been an extremely rough week for him and his mommy and daddy. Any who we eventually got to celebrate his birthday and boy did he love it! He was much more excited about digging into his own cupcake (which Ivory and I attempted to do camo cupcakes) but we were surprised with the outcome of how many people were willing to come and celebrate with us :)
He was not to excited about the hat Ivory forced him to wear, but boy did he look cute wearing it.
